I borrowed this book because of some of the reviews and because I thought this was a mystery, and the solving of 2 crimes. I should have read the reviews more closely. My fault. The book is about 450 pages. About 100 pages are devoted to the crimes and the other 350 pages are devoted to the self-angst of the 2 main characters. It's as if the crimes were created merely as background so the author could write the "self-angst book". Instead of the crimes, could just as easily have been "Why did I survive the car accident and my spouse/sibling/friend/etc didn't?" The wrapping up and solving of the crimes seemed forced, and "too easy"
