I've mentioned this before, but I really enjoy convenient marriages become love ones. But there was a separation of sorts that prevented me from truly connecting with the characters and the romance. Maybe it was because despite practically marrying a stranger, Jasper called her terms of endearments. Now I understand that he was being civil to his wife, and it is in sync with his flirtatious character but it was strange to have him think that she was this incredibly interesting person with just a conversation. The jump was a little sudden and too far out. The search for the villain in this edition though was pretty ridiculous, I'm afraid. Not only Jasper used no finesse in his investigations but the villain gave himself away and for the wrong reason! That person was not very smart, and it made things laughable.
