I have read several of Wood's books and this is simply awful. He has reduced his character to a world class show off-who I know, who I sleep with, how important I am. A good writer gone very bad, skip this one.

The Stone Barrington stories are always a good, non-taxing read. (I do find Stone's power a little farfetched, however.)

Although "Foreign Affairs" is good entertainment, the writing style is a bit brusk for me. I enjoy more time spent on language structure. The novel is nothing but plot.

Stone Barrington is on top of the world in this one. always a new woman, lots of cash and more help with his friends than he nears.
