When Joseph Antonelli attends a Harvard reunion, it brings back memories of a tragedy that still shadows him and his friends. Years ago, a young woman fell to her death from a hotel window. I read this book out of sequence, but it didn't matter. When I began reading, I was disappointed...the story focused on American politics/ history, which I find uninteresting. I thought I would not be able to read the entire book and was ready to "give up" on it. And then, suddenly, the court case began; Antonelli offers to defend an old law class mate from a murder charge. The story becomes exciting and all the boring politics leading up to that point were just setting the stage! I am so pleasantly surprised by the momentum of the story, and how I was on the edge of my seat until the novel ended! Buffa did it once again! This was an excellent read, great characters, plot, court scenes, right up to the end. After the last book I read,Trial By Fire by Buffa, I didn't think the next book could get any better, but much to my delight, I was wrong and Buffa did it again! I love this author!!!
